Alphabet Story
“Anywhere,” he repeated, “we can go
anywhere.”
“But is it really that simple?” Lola
asked.
“Country roads are as simple as if gets,” the boy said. Darius
was the boy’s name. Everything about Darius was perfect, at least in Lola’s
opinion. From the very first day, she knew Darius was the right guy.
“Get your truck and we’ll go,” Lola whispered.
“How far should we go?” Darius asked, grabbing his keys and
hopping into the driver’s seat.
“I want to go until we reach the high cornfields and the perfect
blue skies,” Lola said.
Just then, Darius started the truck and the two were off on an
adventure. Kissing her was the only thing occupying Darius’ mind. Lola was
beautiful and hilarious. Maybe by the end of the day, Lola could be more than
the cute girl down the street. Nobody understood how much Darius truly cared
about Lola. Only one thing stood in the way, and that was nerves. Plenty of
people thought Darius an Lola mad the perfect couple, but Darius was so nervous.
“Quit looking at me like that,” Lola suddenly said with a smile
on her face. Recently, Darius couldn’t stop himself from looking at Lola,
especially because her eyes glistened the sunset.
“Stop looking at me like that,” Darius teased, causing Lola to
smile.
Today was going to be the day; Darius could feel it. Underneath
the stars, Darius would smile at Lola and finally ask her that question.
Volunteering his feelings was an obstacle, but as soon as he parked his truck in the middle of a wide open field, he was ready.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” Darius suddenly blurted out.
Xylophones played in the air, or maybe it was just the sound of birds off in
the distance.
“Yes, I’ll be your girlfriend,” Lola said, bursting with excitement. Zooming through the sky at that very moment was a shooting star, but neither of them needed to make a wish.
About this Story: This story is a typical sappy love story, but each sentence had to begin with the next letter of the alphabet.
